SAP Analytics Cloud offers complimentary Business Content as a starting point for analytics needs — predefined Stories, Dashboards and Data models tailored to existing SAP data sources, with packages for specific industries and lines of business. The comprehensive documentation of KPIs, models and data flows provides insight into how dashboards are constructed. As of Q4 2023, the SAC Content Network provides 79 ready-to-run lines of business and 39 industry-specific solutions.
How to install and use content
Users browse, search and filter content packages by industry or line of business; imported packages are flagged as 'Success'. Import options include: don't overwrite objects or data (the default, preventing accidental overwriting), overwrite data only (replaces data without altering model structure), and overwrite objects and data (updates objects but risks irreversible loss of customisations). Sample data enables visualisation and understanding of the content perspective.
Known issues
Transporting Predictive Scenarios within business content packages is not feasible, and customised styling-panel configurations are implemented on widgets (use the reset button to address this).
